Find Me Follow Me Feature:

This will show you step by step how to create a Find-Me list and assign a series of phone numbers.

You should also review the FAQ on the “Find-Me” Overview for additional background and detail.

Find Me Follow Me Feature

This image provides you an overview of the Find-Me Functionality. This feature is used to setup a list of numbers that will be can be assigned to a concierge action. The list of numbers can then be called all at once (simultaneously) or in sequence.

This allows you to have a series of phone numbers activated when your TalkBroadband phone number is called. This is a very useful feature to quickly locate you - hence the name “Find-Me” feature. It will simulataneously call a series of phone numbers that you may be near and quickly allow you to be reached but still use your TalkBroadband number.

Once the other phones ring, you will be prompted with a recording telling you the number of the caller and if you want to accept or ignore the call.

Once the “Find-Me” list is added, it will appear as an option when adding or editing your concierge records. If you have several “Find-Me” lists created they will all show so it’s better if you have a descriptive name for each.

** UPDATE ** The only way this will work, is the lines search for the users, then after the last number it goes back up to the first, then if that fails, will then go to VM if available.

*** NOTE *** Each lines should not have VM enabled. It will break the search if VM interrupts. Or you can have the number of rings it will do before forwarding to bypass it.

Details of the above.

You first need to enter a name this task will be called for you to identify it later. The incoming number is the number that will be used to trigger the defined actions. You will be able to choose from a list of available actions that are determined by your level of service. Not all of these possible actions may then appear for your level of service.

Action List

  • Callblock: Block this incomming number
  • Forward to number: Forward this call to another phone
  • Forward to VoiceMail: Forward this call directly to voicemail
  • Find-Me: Select a Find-Me Follow-Me list that you have defined
  • Priority Call: Incoming call will be accepted even if DoNotDisturb is activated
  • Virtual Ring: Caller will not ring through but will hear the phone ringing but it’s going nowhere
  • Forward when Busy: If this call comes in while you are on the phone - forward it to another number
  • Forward when no Answer: If there is no answer, forward this call to another number

Once you select an action, the time of day and days of the week where this action or task will be appear. You have the option of making this action active for "All Day" and "Everyday" or selecting a range of days with start/stop times. It is possible to setup a concierge task then that will provide special handling for up to three different date/time settings.

Time Settings

Additionally, you have a default action that can handle any date/time situation that is not specifically defined in one of the other three definitions.

You do not need to define three actions necessarily. You can have one only or one plus the default. Any combination should be accepted.

Once this task is saved, it will take effect immediately. You can edit your concierge task defintition anytime and there is no real limititation on the number of tasks you create but only one per incoming number.

Note: Your End Time must be greater then your Start Time

Concierge Functions for Call Screening and Call Forwarding

The concierge screen will show your defined concierge tasks and allow you to add/edit or delete these defined actions. A Concierge task allows you to set up special call handling rules to provide automatic Forwarding or Call Screening. You can define a rule for a specific incomming phone number or establish a default rule. When setting up a rule, you can define specific times on certain days where this rule should be active.

Call Screening and Call Forwarding

The Concierge function provides a flexible method of screening and forwarding calls anytime or at specific times and on certain days of the week. Call Screening treatments can be applied to a call for the following reasons:

  • The phone is Not Assigned (no MAC address)
  • The phone is Out of Service
  • The phone is in Do Not Disturb mode
  • The phone is about to ring for a new call
  • The phone rang and there was No Answer
  • The phone is Busy on another call
